Biomedical Waste Management

You are here:

Biomedical Waste is waste generated during the diagnosis, testing, treatment, research or production of biological products for humans or animals. Major sources of this waste include Laboratories, hospitals, research centers, blood banks, mortuaries, autopsy centers and many others.

Biomedical waste management increases safety of people and reduces sharps injury potential, along with the costs of direct and indirect treatment as a result. It also reduces the risk of exposure to blood-borne pathogens and reduces hospital-acquired infections.
At CML, we take all steps to ensure that such waste is handled without any adverse effect to human health and the environment.
